A significant portion of the collection consists of the Association's committee files. Most noteworthy are those of the Academic Freedom and Tenure and the Executive committees. Also of interest are records related to the censure of the university as a result of the dismissal of Professor Marshall Jones and records related to racial integration. Later records document AAUP's failure to become the collective bargaining agent for faculty in the Florida State University System.
